Five Star will continue to search for the best shipping methods at the lowest costs in order to benefit you, our valued customer. However, due to extreme variation in product and package sizes, there is no way to automatically calculate the best shipping rates for you on website orders at this time. A Five Star Customer Service Representative will email you with complete order details, inclusive of taxes and shipping costs after your order is submitted.
Parcel shipping:
All orders are shipped FCA Five Star Fabricating, Twin Lakes, Wisconsin freight collect. Most small package component and accessory orders can be shipped same day via FedEx, Spee-Dee (Midwest) or UPS Ground Delivery Service if received by 1:30pm CST. Orders received after 1:30 pm CST will be shipped the next business day. These items include many (but are not limited to) noses, bumper covers, doors, spoilers, formed steel bumpers, installation kits and rivets.
Five Star uses dimensional shipping weight on all air shipments which many times varies from actual component weight. Due to the extreme costs associated with shipping items by air, we encourage you to plan accordingly when ordering. The maps below represents the routing and the number of days to allow for an order, based upon your geographic location. PAYMENT INFORMATION: All Parcel orders must be pre-paid with credit card, cashier's check, money order, bank wire or certified check prior to shipment.
IMPORTANT: Spee-Dee delivery is available primarily in the Upper Midwest. Upper Midwest. Their coverage zone includes most areas in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin and Illinois.
TRUCK SHIPPING:
All orders are shipped FCA Five Star Fabricating, Twin Lakes, Wisconsin freight collect. Orders too large, too heavy or requiring shipment in three or more small parcel boxes must be shipped via truck freight, and usually ships within 48 hours of received order. These parts include (but are not limited to) complete bodies, hoods, roofs, quarter panels and most fenders.
Five Star uses actual shipping weight on all truck shipments which many times varies from actual component weight. Due to the expense of truck shipping, we encourage you to plan accordingly when ordering. Truck shipping times vary with delivery location and carrier.
Residential deliveries (address implies that there is a home on the property which is, therefore, not zoned as a business) will incur a surcharge. Items delivered via common freight carrier will be delivered to the residence or business on a ground level to an exterior threshold only. An adult, 18 years of age or older, must be present to inspect and sign for delivery of the order. Please contact a Customer Service Representative with inquiries regarding any special shipping requirements.

shipping damage claims:
All damage arising from shipment must be resolved with the delivering carrier by the recipient and is not the responsibility of Five Star Fabricating, Inc. It is the responsibility of the receiver to note any damage or shortages at the time of delivery. These notes must be written on the freight company's receipt of delivery or Bill of Lading (BOL) at time of delivery, while the truck driver is still present. Freight companies excuse themselves of any damage claims if the BOL's are not properly noted.
Upon the freight arrival, DO NOT ACCEPT THE SHIPMENT RIGHT AWAY!
- Check/inspect the freight for any visual damage.
- If there is visual damage and the shipment can be used;
- Note the damage on the delivery receipts and get an exception number noted on both driver and customer copies.
- We highly recommend taking pictures.
- If shipment is damaged and can’t be used, REFUSE THE SHIPMENT!
- If you fail to note the delivery receipt, you have five days to file a concealed damage claim.
All items and products purchased from this Site made pursuant to a shipment contract provided by a small package delivery carrier or common carrier for LTL shipments.
NOTE: The risk of loss and title for all products passes to the customer upon Five Star’s delivery to the carrier, whether Five Star pays for the freight charges or the freight charges are paid for by the customer. All claims for lost or damaged shipments should be directed to the appropriate shipment carrier.
